The particular challenge was to find a route that was in accord with the height of the haulage as well as the city tram network of Nuremberg. For this reason we used a 10 axle flatbed. Also, weaker bridge constructions needed to be avoided because of transportation weight. Since space was limited on the factory premises, the adjacent Fürther Street had to be blocked for road traffic. The furnace was then lifted by a 400 to mobile crane and reloaded onto a 8 axle semi low bed trailer which moved the furnace into the factory premises.
